The Tahl are a nomadic people who live east of the Stormwal Mountains, in a region known as the Tahlenwald (PR: /'tɑlənˌwɑld/)[2].
Description[]
Most information about the Tahl is given in rumors or stories.
When Kvothe is asked where he would go if he could go anywhere in the world, he expresses his interest to go to the Tahlenwald and meet the notorious singers. He then quotes rumors that their leaders are singers and that their songs can heal the sick and make the trees dance.[1]
While in Ademre, Kvothe learns that the Tahl may cure many ailments including forms of venereal disease.[3]
There is a reference in a story to witch woman of the Tahl.[4]
Speculation[]
Many fans speculate that the Tahl are the "Singers" mentioned by Haliax in The Name of the Wind.
