The Master Namer is responsible for teaching students Naming, arguably one of the most difficult abilities to master within The Arcanum. During the events of the first novel, The Name of the Wind, classes in Naming are defunct. However, this changes in The Wise Man's Fear, when Elodin resumes teaching.
