<p>I have created a template which allows us to easily cite books from the Kingkiller Chronicle. The template is {{
ref}} and you use it by transcluding the template at the end of a sentence or section that you want to cite.
</p>
<h2><span class="mw-headline" id="How_does_it_work.3F"> How does it work? </span></h2>
<p>It is explained in the documentation how it works, but basically you write the book abbreviation followed by the chapter number:
</p>
{{ref|TNOTW|P}}
{{ref|TNOTW|16}}
{{ref|TWMF|8}}
{{ref|TSROST|7}}
<p>And it will display this in a
<ref> tag:
[1]
[2]
[3]
[4]</p>
<div class="references-small">
- ↑ <span class="reference-text"><i>The Name of the Wind</i>, Prologue, "A Silence of Three Parts"</span>
- ↑ <span class="reference-text"><i>The Name of the Wind</i>, Chapter 16, "Hope"</span>
- ↑ <span class="reference-text"><i>The Wise Man's Fear</i>, Chapter 8, "Questions"</span>
- ↑ <span class="reference-text"><i>The Slow Regard of Silent Things</i>, "Ash and Ember"</span>
</div>
<h2><span class="mw-headline" id="What_does_this_mean.3F"> What does this mean? </span></h2>
- From now on, please use this template to cite any canon information in the articles you edit! This is important to add credibility to the articles.
- Any information that does not seem to be canon or that needs proper references can be cited with a {{cite}} and this will be displayed: <i>[citation needed]</i>
- If anyone has free time, I hope you can help me out adding the chapter title to the references of the main novels. Please [edit] the template, if you have questions on how it works, message me!
